Top 5 Best And Most Useful Baby Shower Gifts

The hunt for the best baby shower gift can be a bit overwhelming, especially if you yourself have not entered the realm of Motherhood yet, or if it's been some time since you have. One thing to keep in mind, as much as you would love to buy that cute little outfit with the denim jean jacket, something more practical may be a better choice. Of course she'll oohhh and aaahh at the sight of cute little tennis shoes, but a simple box of diapers would be far more useful in the end. Below is a Top 5 List of what I feel are the most useful, and best baby shower gifts.

#1 - Diapers, diapers, diapers, and wipes - I know, Diapers and Wipes are not the most exciting gift to give an excited Mom to be, but believe me, a couple months down the road and she will thank you. This is the one item that will not be returned.

#2 - Medicines - Butt paste, Infant Advil or Tylenol. Again, not the most exciting, but when her little Baby has his/her first fever, she will thank you! And you can never have too much Butt Paste!

#3 - Bath time supplies - Shampoo, Body Wash, Baby Oils, and Lotion. I received tons of bath time supplies, and I used every last drop too!

#4 - Baby Carrier - This was my all time favorite gift. I was given a Babybjorn Baby Carrier, and I used it almost every day. Of course, my daughter was colic, so sometimes this was the only way I could get her to relax and go to sleep. Babybjorns are great for newborns, but if you're thinking of something that will last past the newborn stage, maybe a Boba or a Beco would be better.

#5 - Baby Swing - Again, my daughter was colic, so I could not have lived without my Cradle N' Swing. The Baby Carrier was great for doing chores around the house and keeping her with me, but sometimes I needed to rest too, so this was a lifesaver!
